Gua Sha, also known as ‘刮さ (kassa)’ in Japanese, is a traditional folk therapy that has been practiced in China for about 2500 years. The term ‘刮’ means ‘to scrape’ and ‘かっさ’ refers to the stagnant blood. Gua Sha promotes blood circulation, relieves fatigue and tension, and provides a massage-like effect.
